🌎GERMANY'S MAY EXPORTS FALL, SURPLUS RISES

Day: 08 | Time: 10:01:13.000Z Germany's exports decreased for the first time in three months in May due to weak demand from China and the United States. Exports fell by 3.6% compared to the previous month, while imports decreased by 6.6%. As a result, the trade surplus unexpectedly increased to 24.9 billion euros. Exports to the US and China decreased by 2.9% and 10.2% respectively. Imports from China grew by 1.7% and from the US by 4.6%. Exports to EU member states dropped by 2.5% and imports from these countries declined by 8.9%. On an annual basis, exports decreased by 3.8% and imports by 10.0%. The total trade surplus in May was 22.0 billion euros.
